A Friday Haiku for You

This coming weekend

May it hold all that you need

to regenerate!

The Difference a Year Makes

Have I mentioned already that
I. love. my. job!
(job doesn't even seem like an appropriate word!)

and here is one reason why;
families like this
who allow me into their lives
from one year...

 to the next

for a reunion
 that allows me
to look into their children's eyes

and capture a split second in time

that will last forever.

And during their sessions,
 shy grins

and precious moments

make my heart melt!

I have to say that the smiles
(and oh, boy! look at those smiles)
were reciprocated
on my side of the camera

because these young ones
have captured my heart,
and
their. joy. of. life. is. contagious!

I've loved seeing the growth over this past year
(on both sides of the camera...lol).
and, Billy and Tara,
my time spent with your family
truly is a joy.

I look so forward to more reunions in the future,
because my curiosity is already piqued...

Who will have the toothless grin next year?!

The Icing on the Cake!

Being a part of someone's life during an
intimate time such as
celebrating an engagement

is one of the
"cakes" in life...

a sweet,
kind of makes you savor the moment,
so fulfilling, satisfying,
and
making you long for even more

kind of experience.

It certainly is a
mood changer.

You look at the couple through the viewfinder,
and all is right with the world!

You hear the birds chirping,

colors are more vibrant,

the air feels fresh,
and the water in Stone Mill Spring is clear and peaceful.

And as good as that "cake" may be,
let's not forget the "icing"!

Oh my!

The celebration of a
new family being created
is nothing short of holy.

An

oh my gosh, I'm experiencing a miracle,
right before my very eyes

type of experience.
And all is right with the universe!

The sweetness is magnified,
and, if you listen closely,
celestial singing can be heard!

Life = perfection,
and is so very full of hope.

So, thank you, Tim & Malia,
for allowing me to capture your memories.

You are such a beautiful couple
in so many ways,
and celebrating with you has touched my life.

May your journey together be filled with blessings,
and may much more of life's "cakes"
be in your future
coated with the most spectacular "icing"!
