Mikaela ~ Beautiful Name/Beautiful Girl

 This senior

has learned an important lesson
early in life...

how to balance
determination
 and the
 intensity
of achieving one's goal

 ....while having just
plain ol' fun reaching that goal!

She
has her eyes on the prize of the
University of Colorado...

with the plan of leaving that college,
degree in hand,
  to find
 solutions to our environmental problems.

 And I have no doubt
she'll have her fun

 while
 achieving that goal also!

 Mikaela,

equipped with your
contagious smile

and your smarts and your determination,

 I know that
 our earth
 will be in better hands
in a few years to come.
When
 you walk away with your
next goal in life!

The
 best wishes
 being sent your way
as you look forward to your
next chapter.
Enjoy!

Mi Familia Extendida

Family.
Is an umbrella of a word
that covers more than just the immediate.
And
this young man has been a brother
to me and my sisters for
quite. a. number. of. years.

F.a.m.i.l.i.a

Then he brought
this lovely young women into our lives,
and they became their own version
of
Yours, Mine, and Ours.

How beautiful are they!?!

Quite!

Inside and out!

  "How do they manage?"
you may ask.
Well, let's just say...
If she was in the military
she could be a drill sergeant...

one with a soft voice.

And he is a natural as a dad...
it's just wonderful to see him in this role.

Being around them,
you soon recognize what a good team
 they are together!

Sheri and Andre and Kids,
I'm glad to be sharing the "family umbrella"
with you...

And as you walk off into the sunset...

...I wish for you many blessings
in the years to come!

Small Town Hoopla

There is so much I love about
 living in a small town....

one being all the excitement and hoopla that surrounds
an occasion that,  in a big-city-setting,
might slip by with barely a bat of an eye.

One such occasion that we had in the recent past
was the grand opening of the

...stadium seating,
wall-to-wall curved screens,
and
gourmet. made-to-order. hamburgers!

So,
Patriot 12,
I plan on becoming well acquainted with you...

I see...
many date nights in my future,
fun Mom/Daughter times out,
and
a few ladies' get-togethers thrown into the mix.

Thanks for bringing this excitement
to our
Greater Waynesville/St. Robert/Ft. Leonard Wood
area!

An Epic Cause...with Wheels!

The

is an epic road adventure
 with a purpose
far beyond the fun and excitement that it brings
to each town on its route.

Its mission...
a
"Race to Recover America's Missing Children"

40 teams compete in an 8 day trivia game where America is the game board.

This year,
was honored to be chosen as a part of this worthy cause,

Scuba diving in Roubidoux Spring with Scuba Bob from Odyssey Scuba

and since coverage is so important during this rally
 for fundraising purpose and awareness,
I was privileged to be a part of what I consider to be
the "41st team"...the media!

Each of these cross-country, road-rally teams
 is assigned a missing child.
As they solve game clues from town to town,
their goal is to distribute flyers
at every opportunity..

It is the largest awareness campaign in the country!

Boiling Springs Corn Maze and Hoppers Pub were a part of the day's activities

Posing in front of a piece of the Berlin Wall

Mayor Luge Hardman arm wrestling and wins with help ...@ The Cave Restaurant

I am so proud of my county!
Its people and businesses turned out in
 great support for this event!

Small-town USA,
you were well represented,
and your impact will be felt
as this cause
 continues to accomplish its mission
and make a difference in so many lives!
