Hope for the Future...

A boy is Truth with dirt on its face,
Beauty with a cut on its finger,
Wisdom with bubbly gum in its hair,
and the Hope of the future with a frog in its pocket.
~Unknown

The best thing about my job is witnessing the innocence and hope in the eyes of little ones!

A few months ago I was able to meet this little man and his sister.  I worked with hay.LO Photography to capture the little princess turning three.  This week we were blessed to see their smiling faces again for Little T's six month session!

Thank you Mom and Dad for allowing us to capture these special moments for your family!
And a huge thank you for your service and sacrifices as a military family!

Beauty from Within

I remember the first time I photographed the beautiful Christina at a high school prom.  She stood out from all of the other dolled up Juniors and Seniors because of her beautiful personality.  I was honored to capture her radiating smile once again on a snowing spring day!

“The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a Woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she knows.”

Christina, You are truly beautiful from the inside out and don't let life take that away from you!

Dandelion Folklore

Spring is here!

And those pesky little yellow sundrops
will soon be scattered throughout the grass.

But I don't mind
because folklore has it that
when you blow away the
 seeds of a dandelion,

your thoughts and dreams are carried
to your friends and loved ones,

and that seed will be faithful to
convey your message.

~~~
So,
dear friends and family,
I'm sending a virtual dandelion seed your way
wishing for you a Spectacular Spring
filled with Marvelous Memory-making
occasions...
 even memories as simple as scattering
seeds to the wind!
My "Thousand Words"
There are times when
written words
are not needed...
...this is such a time!
Here are my "thousand words"...
Years Gone By....Till Now
I have a history with
this beautiful young woman
in fact,
we probably met when
she was about this age...
There are practically
 no childhood memories
I can think back on that Julie and her 4 siblings,
and me and my 3 siblings do not share.
Her family was a BIG part of my life...
...as they continue to be
 to this day!
So, when I was back in North Florida,
I jumped at the chance
to capture this special time in her life
with her growing family,
and to have a chance to get
better acquainted with her little boy
who has sparked so many memories
from years gone by!
Julie & Steven,
you are blessed.
And I'm blessed
 to have you as a part of my life
all of these years!
Old Stuff Day
Let's celebrate!
March 2
is
 Old Stuff Day!
And amongst my possessions
of "old stuff",
there is nothing more I
want to celebrate today than my
collection of cameras.
My treasures...
Starting with my Minolta
that got me hooked on
photography in
my high school years!
I was always tempted to
sell the camera I was
currently using
in order to upgrade to my
next camera.
But I was never able to do that.
Treasures
 are hard to part with!
And they do make a lovely
picture collage!
